Big Jake

By: Norton Buffalo

Woke up early Monday mornin'
Sun was in my eyes.
I read the paper front to back,
It was nothing but lies
Then I turned on the news
And the news man said
There was a prison break today
Six got out
Five got caught
But Big Jake got away

Grab your children
Lock your doors
Don't go out tonight
Tell your neighbors
All their friends
To watch their step
Cause Big Jake is on the loose again

Now, Big Jake
He was a man of muscle
Much more brawn than brain
But he went too far
When he shot his wife
For stealing his cocaine
Well, the judge and the jury all agreed
That he was guilty of the crime
So they sent him up for thirty years
Jake swore that he would never serve the time

Grab your children
Lock your doors
Don't go out tonight
Tell your neighbors
All their friends
To watch their step
Cause Big Jake is on the loose again

Back on the streets
Big Jake's tryin' to get tough
Bent on tearin' up the town
Jumps into a bar room
Starts a great big fight
He was tryin' to throw his weight around
When suddenly out from the corner stepped a giant of a man
He said, "Come on Jake let's go outside and fight"
So they went out for a rumble
Big Jake took a tumble
He's been hiding in the shadows since that night

Grab your children
Lock your doors
Don't go out tonight
Tell your neighbors
All their friends
To watch their step
Cause Big Jake is on the loose again

The Buffalo Cajun Mambo

By: Norton Buffalo

Now, some of the people I know
They don't give a damn about a dollar
They save all their money for Saturday night
So they can go out and jump and holler
Now there's a hoppin' little spot open nearly all night
They've got a smokin' four piece combo
Everybody hits the floor when that band starts to blow
The Buffalo Cajun Mambo

They all stand in line
And start movin' like a train down the railroad track
Clappin' their hands in time
They go five steps forward and five steps back
Shake it on over to the left
Then wiggle on back to the right
The band starts to groove
Feet start to move
Everybody's feeling all right

Dancin' to the Buffalo
The Buffalo Cajun Mambo
To the Buffalo
The Buffalo Cajun Mambo

Hey There Grandpa

By: Norton Buffalo

Hey there Grandpa
I heard you weren't feeling too well
I just thought I'd drop by
And visit with you for a spell
Mom and Sis, they're doing fine
Pop's still workin' down in the mine
Me, well I guess I'm doin' all right

Hey there Grandpa
I remember so well
We'd take a walk by the river side
Listen to the whippoorwill
When you're better we'll go back there
See if things have changed
Let the hometown folk know you're still around

Hey there Grandpa
They say you're gonna be all right
You've been having such a hard time
But you're really puttin' up a fight
I'll be keepin' my eyes on you
Makin' sure you get well
Sure would hate to see you go

Hey there Grandpa
I heard you weren't feeling too well
I just thought I'd drop by
And visit with you for a spell

Move on Way From Here

By: Norton Buffalo

Night winds are blowin' round my window
Brings a chill up and down my back
Winter's comin' on
All the birds are flying south
When you said you had to leave me baby
You took the words right from my mouth

It's time to move
Move on way from here
It's time to move
Move on way frome here

Don't wanna talk about it
It's time for a change
Why you can't stop cheating darling
I can't explain
I know what I can take
Surely can't take no more
Time for you to pack your bags darlin'
Walk right out that door

It's time to move
Move on way from here
It's time to move
Move on way frome here
